One fee to find the fault, one number to fix it
No dispatch fee stacked on a trip charge stacked on a labor minimum. You are quoted once, in writing, and the diagnostic comes off the total when you say go.

You pay the diagnostic once
$129, the same figure whatever the appliance and however long the fault takes to find.
- 02
The fee comes off the repair
Approve the work and the diagnostic is credited against it. You do not pay twice for the same visit.
- 03
You decide with the number in front of you
You get a written estimate before any part is ordered or any labor begins. Decline it and you owe the diagnostic and nothing else.
What the fee covers
- The drive to your address anywhere in the posted service area. There is no separate trip charge and no fuel surcharge on top of the fee.
- A full diagnosis, however long it takes. A hood that needs the baffles out and a static-pressure reading is the same fee as a burner that needs a cap set.
- Test instruments and the readings they produce: manifold pressure under load, spark at each electrode, element resistance, board supply voltages.
- A written estimate for the repair, itemised into parts, labor and the return trip if a part has to be ordered.
- A straight answer about whether the repair is worth doing against the value and age of the appliance.
What it does not cover
- Parts. Nothing is ordered until you approve the written number, and we fit genuine OEM parts rather than the cheaper aftermarket equivalents that fail early in salt air.
- The labor on the repair itself. That is quoted in the estimate, not guessed at on the phone.
- Installation work, cabinetry changes or electrical work behind the wall. We diagnose and repair the appliance; a cabinet opening that is out of tolerance is a carpenter’s job, and a missing dedicated circuit is an electrician’s.
- Anything on another manufacturer’s appliance. We work one brand.
Two things worth knowing before you book
A second appliance on the same visit is not automatically a second fee. Say on the phone that the range and the hood are both misbehaving and we will tell you how it is charged before we come out, not after. What we will not do is diagnose a second appliance for free and then price the repair to cover it.
Corrosion changes the estimate more than the symptom does. Two ovens with the same fault can carry very different numbers if one of them has spent six seasons within sight of the water and the fasteners have to be cut rather than turned. That is why the estimate is written after the panel is off, not from a description over the phone.
