Burner grates, caps and igniters
Cast grate feet corrode where they sit in the well. Caps pit at the port ring, so the flame goes yellow and lopsided and the igniter starts clicking after the burner is already lit.
Stainless trim and hinges
Surface rust blooms on trim and handles within a season of moving here. Oven door hinges stiffen and the door stops closing square against the gasket.
Outdoor kitchens
An outdoor grill on an open deck takes everything the ocean has. Burners, valves and igniter leads corrode years faster than the same parts under a roof.
